In the spirit of Christian brotherhood, residents of the Reko Road Zone came together as one to care for the 21 families in the zone affected by the flood, as well as a few other non-Catholic families who escaped the flood with only the clothes on their backs. |

On top of the financial relief provided by the Parish Integral Human Development Ministry and the Tamil Apostolate from the Church of the Holy Family Kajang, the core team of Reko Road Zone started a donation drive and successfully collected RM 2,880. With the amount collected, they bought mattresses and basic food supplies such as rice, eggs, potatoes, and onions. Many families from the zones also donated clothes, cooking utensils, and pots and pans. Members of the zone then joined hands to pack and deliver these items to the families in need. |

“So many people have gathered to help the flood victims. Praise and glory be to God!” said Christina Leong, the Zone leader. “This unfortunate event definitely had a silver lining: The Reko Road Zone members were able to live out their faith by being the Church in attending to the needs of others. |
